What is the Paraguay Post?
The Paraguay Post is an independent news source covering all things Paraguay.
We publish original reporting from home-grown and local journalists.
Our readers are academics, journalists, researchers and diplomats who want to cut through the noise. Others are expats who wants to break out of the bubble. Many are Paraguayans interested in straight-talking analysis.
Whether it’s politics, the economy, business, crime, corruption, climate, culture, travel tips, or just plain weird: we’ve got it covered.
Who’s behind it?
Our founding editor is Laurence Blair, a freelance journalist who lives in Paraguay and has been covering South America for a decade for the Guardian, the BBC, the Economist and the New York Times.
How much does it cost?
Most of our stories are free to read. But they’re not free to write. And we’re not bankrolled by governments or big business: we depend entirely on readers like you to fund our work.
Paid subscribers get access to everything we’ve published, the ability to join the discussion, and exclusive Insider Insight — all from less than $1 per week.
